Manage the location operation ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales revenue, security of location monetary and non-monetary assets and the supervision of the location accounting personnel.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
1. Provide accurate and timely reports to General Manager, Regional Controller and department managers on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
2. Maintain strict adherence to all Company accounting policies and procedures by all departments performing accounting duties.
3. Responsible for the month end closing duties such as journal entries, balancing, sales reports, etc.
4. Manage, supervise and train location accounting staff to include payroll clerk, night auditor and other accounting personnel.
5. Ensure proper assistance and training, dealing with accounting responsibilities, is provided to other location departments.
6. Maintain accuracy and security of the house bank as well as the management of the cash flow.
7. Maintain security of corporate assets (i.e. computers) as well as control of all numbered documents on location.
8. Ensure that all invoices are paid accurately and timely by communicating with the Accounts Payable Clerk.
9. Ensure that all direct bills are paid on a timely basis by communicating with the Accounts Receivable Clerk. Explain each account that is over 60 days past due.
10. Participate in the annual budgeting process and work to achieve Company planned profit for the entire property. Provides reports to departments so that costs and labor can be controlled.
11. Keep accurate and well organized records and files.
12. Provide a close liaison between the accounting department and human resources.
13. Resolve area employee issues; consult with General Manager or Human Resources as needed.
14. Ensure proper scheduling, coverage and training for all areas of responsibility.
15. Prepare employee evaluations and progressive discipline.
16. Comply with and uphold all Company policies.
17. Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental policies.
18. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
19. Must be able to work holidays, weekends and other shifts as necessary.
20. Must be able to occasionally climb, kneel and lift up to 40 lbs.
21. Must be able to frequently bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch, balance and push/pull.
22. Ability to be well groomed, neat and clean.
23. Ability to remain controlled and courteous during fast-paced, stressful situations.
24. Ability to multi-task. |

Experience Required:
1. One year experience in an accounting related field, preferably in a hotel/resort environment.
2. Front desk operations experience preferred.
3. Previous money handling skills preferred.
4. Previous supervisory or management experience.
5. Proficient with Excel.
6. Proven communication and organizational skills.
7. Strong problem solving skills. |
