REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to the Location Manager and/or the Manager,

Park Personnel. Guidance on legal issues and policies and procedures will be offered by the Director, Human Resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Personnel Manager will be involved with issues relating to employees on a specific location, acting as an employee/management liaison.



The Personnel Manager is responsible for the following:

1. Knowledge of Personnel Policies and Procedures, Park/Company guidelines and resources for cases with extenuating circumstances: fielding questions regarding such information to maintain consistent enforcement on locator;

2. Objectively and consistently initiating and/or monitoring disciplinary action on location;

3. Supervising Personnel Staff (Residence Coordinators and Dorm Crew) on a daily basis including: creating weekly schedules to insure residence and office coverage as needed; offering advice and feedback; conducting daily staff meetings; monitoring the work of each staff person with personal observation at the work site as often as possible; offering activities which encourage teamwork among the staff members;

4. Ensure proper preparation of residence facilities for occupancy, monitoring use and upkeep throughout the season and ensuring proper closing procedures are met.

5. Ensuring high standards of residence cleanliness and safety by conducting weekly inspections and written evaluations and by following up with responsible staff persons;

6. Equitably issuing housing assignments on location;

7. Providing a sounding board for employees at all levels; handling personal issues with sensitivity and confidentiality as required, attempting to resolve issues in a tactful and timely manner;

8. Maintaining records of all transfers and changes concerning employees on location; assisting department managers on location as to correct procedures for initiating changes; accurately transmitting changes on a daily basis by means of the mainframe computer;

9. Confidentially maintaining personnel profiles of employees on location and files as needed;

10. Utilizing personnel reports and offering assistance to location departments as needed to accurately assess staffing issues (i.e., to compare actual staff numbers to budgeted staff numbers, to monitor room and board charges, to monitor staffing activities RE: arrivals, transfers, terminations, etc.); to communicate staffing needs to the Director, Human Resources;

11. Conducting an Exit Interview with each termination, allowing the employee an opportunity to speak freely and air grievances; ensuring the accurate completion of the Exit Interview form; accurately processing termination paperwork; objectively assessing appropriate termination codes and recording such via mainframe computer.

12. Controlling and accurately reporting location Park Personnel payroll and supply budgets, accurately maintaining time cards and reporting as directed;

13. Ordering cleaning supplies on a weekly basis via the mainframe computer;

14. Other duties as assigned.

Job Season: May to October. Shorter seasons possible for some positions. Winter positions available too.

Qualifications: SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

1. Developed management skills relating to leadership, decision making, delegation, time management, problem solving and Interpersonal communication.

3. Basic business administration skills.

4. General knowledge of data system.

5. In-depth knowledge of Company practices and policies.
